Servas is a world-wide network of hosts and travellers established in more than 100 countries. As a peace organisation founded shortly after the end of World War II, it aims to promote international understanding through personal contacts and exchange of ideas. Hosts open their door to visitors for a limited period so that they can look beyond the tourist façade to join in the daily life of their hosts.
